Noticed that my frame rate tanks when i go into the map and then back into the game world. I am running from an sata 3 SSD using an older i7 4770 with 16gb of ram paired to a 1660Ti. ( not upgrading until the intel 10nm next year) the frame rate drop does not change if I alter the textures from high, medium or low . As for my other setting its mix of low and medium the only setting i have high is Screen space reflections to reduce the ghosting trails on the npcs walking about. As for my resolution its 50 percent of 4k using dynamic scaling. should be noted i am running the game with a 30 fps cap since i would take a smooth 30 over an unstable 60 any day. Now it could be my old hardware and the data being streamed to the memory but in game world my frame rate never drops below 30 no matter how nuts the action gets. ( got a big old firefight going out side vics to test )

anyone notice this issue and got a work around for nvidia Cards.

Ok, i havent the game yet, maybe sunday it end tehe download, i read there is a solution for the fps, disable or low the setting of cascade shadows
Thanks for the reply, i will look at the cascade shadows i have the quality set to low and range medium.

I also checked my system performance, the CPU never goes past 70 percent load at any time during a half hour of play. that 70 percent is more a spike than a constant. the GPU ranges from 60 to 80 percent load but then jumping into the map it hits 90 and returning to the game world causes a 100 percent load , hence the frame dip for about 5 to 10 secs. It should be noted that the CPU never goes past 60 percent when accessing the map so I do not think the CPU is a bottleneck in this case.

There is a mod on nexus who gives more graph options, but like i said, i cant recommend anything because im 25% of the offline instaler

I remenber having problems in Fallout 4 with the debris settings, i dont know if C2077 have that option
Well after playing around i have improved the situation a bit,

Using the driver setting I enabled triple buffering and within the game i switched from static scaling to dynamic, there is still a frame rate drop of about 2 to 5 frames for a second when traveling to the map but its much smoother.( this can be avoid by setting power to max in the driver settings ) with the dynamic scaler i set the lowest to the bottom of 50 and the highest to 60 with a framerate of 30 limit. ( this is for 4k ) for my GPU it appears to be it limit. with the frame limit off the frame rate in the busy hubs is around 35 to 40. one nice thing with the dynamic resolution is that it appears i can crank up the screen space reflections to quality to help with the ghosting due to the TAA at no real cost.

not ideal but its playable and looks fine on my large screen
