Trying to claim it here in GOG it wont let me claim the weapon.

The instructions shows Steam and Epic, but I purchased Cyberpunk 2077 + Liberty here in GOG.

So, are we screwed for being loyal customers to CD Projekt RED and GOG ?

I was able to get the code to work for GOG. Follow the instructions and log in to the My Rewards via the link. Enter your GOG credentials and it'll ask for the code. I entered mine and it said success. I fired up the game and saw it listed as part of my rewards.

Thanks, this promo was new to me.
Weapon redeemed successfully.

Not sure how to actually get it ingame though, as I don't use and don't want to use GoG Galaxy...
And I cannot see it as a separate DLC download in my list of offline GoG installers.

Checked the ingame inventory, and it's certainly not there.

Something is wrong with this reply is not saving the full message.

So figured out the problem, it was the SPACE !!!

remove the empty space in front of the code, it's not noticeable unless you highlight it.

you don't have to. claim it via the website. when you claim the code on prime gaming, it gives you the code and a link to the rewards page for cyberpunk. enter code and the gun will be added to all your stashes.

I did all that:
Amazon Prime -> get key -> cyberpunk.net -> redeem -> success

...but how can the cyberpunk.net site add anything to my ingame inventory without some sort of connection or intermediary (such as GoG Galaxy or a separate download)?

If the redeem site really did that directly to my otherwise offline game saves, I would be seriously concerned regarding their online security scheme.

EDIT:
My fault, I didn't read the fine print: Phantom Liberty is required. I don't have have the expansion yet (getting a torrent for it now), only the 2.0 patch.
Still, I am having concerns regarding how the item is to be added to my local game install, once I get ahold of Phantom Liberty.

If all else fails, I'll just wait for the updated CET console codes and add the weapon that way myself.

well if your playing a pirated version, then idk. you have to log into my rewards in game, same way you get the witcher and gog gear added to your stash.

Well, I used CET console codes for getting both the supposedly "GoG Galaxy exclusive" Black Unicorn katana and the Wolf School T-shirt and jacket. Didn't log in anywhere for that.

So yeah, if all else fails, I'll wait for the updated version of CET.

The pirated version of Phantom Liberty is still downloading, so I'll check later today.

P.s.
Don't worry - if I like Phantom Liberty, I WILL buy it later. And given the time I have spent with Cyberpunk 2077, I think I can say with certainty I will buy it anyway, whether I like it or not.

Did the same thing with Cyberpunk 2077. Pirated 1.03 (back when it was a buggy mess), and bought the game on sale when the 1.10 (~ish) patch was released.

Okay, I got Phantom Liberty installed and running. Deleted my updated (and modded) 1.6 folder (still got a 1.6 backup), and did a new install of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 first, and then the Phantom Liberty expansion. Continued on an existing save, no issues or crashes yet.

...But the Chesapeake smart weapon is nowhere to be seen.

EDIT:
And now it doesn't matter - I found updated console codes, including the Twitch items, and all the new vehicles.

Ah, I was trying to redeem the code in Galaxy and couldn't get it to work. Following the link on the promotion page worked. Thanks.
