Some background:

I've played and finished the game before. It was a while ago, but I bought the DLC and re-installed the game relatively recently. I play with a keyboard. I'm also using Galaxy.

The problem:

The parry system does not seem to be working. In the tutorial, where it is introduced, I *can* parry the three dots, though curiously, the dots don't change colour (i.e. the first dot remains pink, and the others remain grey). Then, when it comes to the player ghost rising, I can't seem to parry him properly. I do the parry action, and my character gets the pink glow and I get an ace card as expected, but I get no vertical bounce in my jump, nor does the ghost stop and say "Thank yoooou!" as it normally does - it just keeps rising as though I did nothing.

Then, when I play the game itself, every parryable object just hurts me when I do parry. Not that I progressed very far without parrying, but the only parryable objects seem to be found in the tutorial.

What I've tried:

I've tried verifying game installation files, and it ended up downloading 1.1Mb. This didn't help. I then tried nuking the installation, including my save files. Curiously, Galaxy hung while deleting the files, at which point I restarted Galaxy. The game could then install, but it still had the same issue (the save games were deleted though).

The question:

Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, what did you do to fix it?
