If someone has a problem that game shows black screen and then it crashes, solution from german written comments here works, I can confirm that.
Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Crysis [GOG.com]
and start game from there. It doesn't make any sense, but it works. It's probably some Microsoft mess, they screwed something again. Shortcut from that folder links me to root folder of game, but when I click on it there, it doesn't work, it doesn't make any sense.
EDIT: More info, it looks like it's some problem with DirectX 10 on Win 10 and Win 11, but for some reason, when you run it from bin 32 or you click on DX9 version in gog galaxy, it doesn't work. You have to add parameter -dx9 in client or make shortcut from CrysisLauncher.exe and add -dx9 parameter there, which is exactly what shortcut in ProgramData folder does and that's why it worked.
If you want to play proper DX10 version of Crysis, you just have to use Windows 7 I guess, I had problems even in Vista, Win 7 is only reliable Windows for DirectX 10 gaming.
I think I had similar problem with Bioshock, DX10 version works only in Win 7.
BTW: I found out how to run it in Full HD and more after 15 years without moding ini or cfg files, there is just scroll slider in game settings and when you grab it and go down, there are more resolutions, I never noticed it before. :-D
