Hello. I tried setting up my controller to play the game and noticed there is no binding for Confirm or Back/Return, so navigating the menus without a keyboard is impossible (even though the Steam store page lists Full Controller Support)

edit: It would appear one of the combo bindings acts as a confirm key, but this is not clear at all.

Also, is there a list of supported controllers? I'm using a wired Dualshock 4 and while it works well after binding it, the game doesn't register the d-pad buttons (works fine in other games, so I don't know whether it's the game or the distro I'm using).

Finally, is there a setting to set the game to always launch in fullscreen mode? I know it can be done by executing "./game/Necrodancer.sh 1" but the shortcuts the GOG installers create point to the start.sh script, which I believe doesn't carry any arguments to the game's executable by default.

Thank you for your time.

D-pad works fine on my DS 3.

You could just point the shortcut to "./game/Necrodancer.sh 1" instead. I did notice ./start.sh 1 didn't work, but I didn't bother to look any further yet.

The key you bind to pause will act as the confirm.

There isn't a list of supported controllers. Generally if your OS supports it NecroDancer will support it. Some of our players will use 3rd party apps to supplement controller support; Joy2Key or XPadder for Windows, and things like USB Overdrive for Mac.

There is not a setting for this.

Hope that helps!

Well I did a little more testing and I figured out how you're supposed to navigate the menus (Left is back, Right is select)

I'm having trouble with the game not recognizing face buttons presses even though I can map them just fine within the settings.

I guess I'll report these in the official forums. Thank you for your response.

You can make a .sh file in the "Crypt of the NecroDancer/game" folder that says "./NecroDancer.sh 1" and launch the game with that.
