don't know if you're still looking as I'm like 3 years late but just in case anyone else is having a problem that can be solved by forcing their games to windowed I found a utility which hooks applications and forces them into windowed mode. Works on Windows 10 and with at least Crusaders of Might and Magic as well as probably a ton of other games too.

Will do more testing myself but here's the link for now:
