All other sound effects in-game work fine, but for some reason the only music that plays is in the opening intro. Can someone help me out, i have no idea whats going on.

Are you playing the GOG version without any patches? GOG version uses mp3 music, and patching it might cause the game to expect music from CD.

Can you actually play the music mp3 files outside of the game?

Also, if you go to Options and Audio, did you try turning the music slider all the way up?

Hey, thanks for the reply. Im not sure if it's the patched version or not, but i am able to access the mp3 music files, which only work when the game is not running. I've tried changing the audio options in-game, and setting the music slider to max, but nothing seems to work.

I play it on Windows 10 and have no Music too :(

Someone wrote somewhere to have VLC media player active in the background and it apparently worked. I have not tried it myself though but will try that next time I install the game.

I solved this issue by changing the 3D audio support from DEFAULT to DS3D S/W (only option that worked).

So, it wasn't the configuration change that solved the problem. I accidentally forgot my original CMM cd inside the drive, and that made the GOG version of the game work with music.

Curiously the music don't stop if I remove the cd, and even if I restart the game the music is still there, so the game is actually playing the mp3s. But when I restart windows the ingame music is gone, and I need to open the game with the cd in the drive for it to work again.

Looks like the game recognizes the cd and set some flag that makes the music work, and looks like that flag is reset when windows is shutdown.
