I'm currently playing through No Regret(via EA app, it was a freebie game along with No Remorse when the Origin launcher was a thing). I'm on the first mission and somehow, I keep taking electrical damage and I don't know how to get rid of it. The health drain is slow, but it'll be a problem later down the line.

I don't know if something hit me or if I stepped on something, I was too focused on the action to figure out what exactly occurred.

Any help would be appreciated.

Prolly a bug maybe of the game itself or caused by emulation.
Have you tried restarting the level to see if it persists?

I didn't restart at the time, but as I played further, I went down an elevator, a cutscene played, and when the silencer came out of the elevator, the effect was gone.

It might have been a weird bug or something. I'll see if it happens again when I hop back on.

This is not a bug. You are taking radiation damage from Di-Cor containers (the green ones). See the No Regret strategy guide here, page 21: https://echosector.com/files/doc/no_regret_hintbook.pdf

You will take the same damage when you walk next to raw Di-Cor in several levels.
