I liked Crusader: No Remorse, but I'm honestly kind of stuck in Crusader: No Regret.

What is the deal with the constant rocket instagibs?

I'm stuck on level three. I left an elevator after fighting a lot of robots, but now there is a shielded rocket turret in the middle of the room with a shield switch on the other side.
I'm convinced that there is a better way of dealing with the turret than rolling around and praying that the timing for both getting to the shielding and blowing up the turret are timed exactly right (I say this in general for the rocket gauntlets).

Any ideas?

I figured out the crouch combination for that particular room, but any general tips would really help.

If memory serves those rocket turrets won't see you if you're crouched right next to them. Thus a good way to get past them is to wait until the turret isn't aimed at you, then use that chance to get right next to the turret and crouch down. Once the turret passes by you cover the rest of the distance to the switch. Look for cover around the switch and hide behind it until the turret passes by again, then take out the turret when it's once again pointing away from you. The main trick with the rocket turrets is to do whatever you're going to do while the business end is not pointed at you, as haphazardly trying to dodge the rockets is usually not a winning strategy.

DarrkPhoenix:
Thanks for the tip. I'm about to start Level Eight.

I had to work my way through an insane glitch at the end of level seven with the hacker mover cheat (is this glitch normal?).

Once I started getting used to every other enemy carrying a rocket launcher it started to get a little easier.
