Hello GOGlodytes!
Sorry if this is an obvious question, but I am a total noob for what concerns emulators and everything related, so I thought to ask it here: is there any way to rebind DOSbox keys to a controller (I'm using a standard Xbox360 one), and if so, how can I do it?
Personally, I don't even know where to start! :P

I wanted to play Crusader again, and I have heard somewhere that the (painful, when played as intended) controls seem much easier to handle with a controller. This could definitely make the game more enjoyable.

Try Dosbox's keymapper (Ctrl-F1).
There are also 3rd party programs like JoyToKey and Xpadder but these are payware.

I don't know how well this game plays with a gamepad though as the control method can be something to get used to.
I played both games with the keyboard with the NumLock set to character rotate and use Shift (or CapsLock) to rotate faster when necessary.
The solution you mentioned works (I just needed to press "add" before being able to access the controller) and the program immediately recognizes the Xbox360 pad, yet somehow it treats the buttons X and Y as if they were Start and Back. I guess I still need to thinker a bit with it...
Thank you! :)

Guessing you need to unbind whatever joystick buttons from X & Y that are initially there and just leave the ones you added.
