Like pre-order bonuses, unrevisitable locations, rewards for playing a game in a certain manner, DLC codes that only came with specific products, bonuses for having save data from a different game, and the like.

3. For the games released on multiple platforms, are they the exact same except for graphics (excluding the Game Boy Color versions, but including the remaster as the original)? On that note, I know the new edition adds achievements, and I wanted to know if the Switch version had an in-game equivalent or if the original versions still offered a reward for fulfilling their requirements (like beating all bosses without taking damage, or beating five stages without grabbing a crystal).

1: no. there is a secret world for collecting all gobbos but nothing is missable.

2. they were delisted but can be found online. i think they were old java phone games.

3. The definitive version pulls in changes from the PC, Saturn and PS versions where they felt it needed. they had minor differences but nothing big. (saturn lacked transparencies, PC had glide support etc.) Dont know about switch achievements. a lot of games on switch have an internal achievement system like castlevania or gta.

4. the classic edition is a freebie for gog users. on PC only

also the classic edition runs in software mode so no fancy effects
hopefully someone will make a mod to fix it

there is a fan made "defivitive edition" that uses the original CD version and stuff like nglide or dgvoodoo to make 3dfx work on a modern pc.

definitive edition is avalable on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series, PS5, Switch and PC via GOG

croc 2 had an amazing pc port, it still works on modern pcs

to my knowladge the pc and playstation versions are identical. there is nothing missable i remember.
