lance8765: Well, hopefully this silly policy will change one day... but where does that "running joke" originate from?

Did someone ACTUALLY wrote that?
Whenever discussion happens about games that people feel should be here by now but aren't, or when one with actual limited appeal or low quality somehow gets onto the store people will often add snarky comments about things being "niche".

ReynardFox: Feels like they've pretty much abandoned GOG...

...and to be honest, with GOG's frankly disgusting attitude towards console/arcade genres and subsequent rejection of their Cave catalog, I can't actually blame them
So, punish all over the customers that bought Crimson Clover here because GOG won't carry any of their other games? If that's the case, they're handling things in a pretty unprofessional manner, imho.

Thanks, I was going to say the exact same thing.

lance8765: Oh, so there's no official "statement" from any GOG representative or something?
Yeah there are, that running gag didn't come out of nowhere.

Way more outlandish correspondence was "leaked" by studios that got rejected. I can't remember which game it was for, but there was one case where gog supposedly replied to an applicant that they won't be releasing their game, but might reconsider if it does well on Steam. It came across way more uppity than I can replicate it here (something along the lines of "let's see if it still makes sense for us to release it after it's out on Steam"), but if I was an indie dev, I'd probably also be like "Fuck these guys, I'm already raking in the big Steamdough, so these guys can bite me!"

Both ReynardFox and myself have tried to contact Degica numerous times through various means without a word. So abandonment of GOG and it's customers seems to be a pretty definite outcome.

On another note, here is the thread with the GOG denial letter:

I wasn't defending their reasons for not updating Crimzon Clover, I do infact think if this is the case then Degica are being just as stupid and disrespectful as GOG has, I was merely stating that I can see why a company who feels burned by another might not want to do business anymore. I can't blame Degica for that, but yes, to not support what's already here? Dick move.
So a new Polish update came out recently for the Steam version. Did these guys ever patched the GOG version and give out the DLCs they're hoarding out to the Steam version?
2017 and still waiting for that DLC...
