For quite some time now

Same thing. I reinstalled, went away. I dont believe you lose your saves either. Though I did delete most of mine, just because.

In my case, some texts are completely missing. There is blank where description or tooltips should have been.

There seems to be an incompatability with the old saves. I deleted everything in /Users/[Name]/AppData/Roaming/dekovir/crafttheworld/

If you use Galaxy you may have to delete it while the game is running to prevent cloud saving from restoring it. This does mean you have to start over though - don't know if there is a way around that.

There were no old saves, I have just bought the game and did a fresh install.

However, I have found a fix somewhere else. Pressing Enter during game opens a text input, but also make all missing text appear.
