Here you’ll find scripts allowing you to build packages for Debian, Arch Linux and any derivative (Ubuntu, Manjaro, Linux Mint, etc.) from your GOG installers for Costume Quest.
You will then be able to easily install these packages with you favourite packages manager.

What does this installation script do differently from the default GOG shell script? I understand games where there is no Linux version where it configures WINE, or DOS games where it forgoes installing a duplicate DOSBox/ScummVM, but this game has a native Linux release, so I don’t understand how this new script is beneficial or easier.


I’m mostly a Windows user, so I’m used to the convenience of offline installers that I can stick on an external hard drive and reinstall on a different computer without accessing the servers.

This script will build a package for your distribution, that you can then install on any compatible system.

It’s mostly used to improve integration, including automatic dependencies management (providing them when they are obsolete), standard installation path system-wide (no need to install it once per user), easy uninstallation (using your package manager)…
