I seem to be having issues running this game through steam :( I mainly want to run it through for overlay, as I talk to people while I'm playing!

I'm running dmln.exe, seeing as it is what actually runs the game, rather than the "cossacks.exe"

I haven't tried it for each one, figured I should note this! I've only tried so far for Art of War..

It's not a big deal to have this, it's just convenient for me for talking to people... If not getting this to work, a windowed mode would help (alt enter didn't put it in windowed), as when I alt tab, and return to the game the whole screen aside from the menu is black! :(

Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi
There is no overlay because the game doesn't use neither Direct3D nor OpenGL API for rendering.
There is neither overlay in this versionf the game neither in the Steam version.

Thank you so much for the information! I did not know any of that :) (obviously)

I don't really want steam versions anyway; and I already payed for gog version!

May be a stupid follow up question, but is there a way to force windowed mode?
