As the title says, I can no longer change resolution in Cossacks: European Wars after the game crashed to desktop. The game was working fine for multiple runs, but it suddenly crashed when changing the game speed to slow. The game speed change wasn't causing any problems before. Now when I go back into the game it won't let me change resolution at all in the options and the entry for resolution is blank and stays that way no matter how many times I click it. Any attempt to start a battle just gives me a blank screen and then a crash now. Even a complete reinstall of the game doesn't fix these problems.

Any ideas? Is there a config file where I can manually force a resolution change? I can't find it.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Nevermind, I found a fix. Simply set the files dcmr.exe, dmln.exe, and HView.exe compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) to fix it. Mods can mark this as solved if they wish.

Here is one additional bit: Under the place where you can switch between fast and slow are two sliders where you can adjust scrolling and game speed. I find those indespensable to get the perfect balance for my computer and myself. Sadly I have had to lower the speed by one click twice as I have grown older.
