Just fired it up after the patch and all my saves were gone. Nothing in the cloud either.

Thankfully I was able to dig them out of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Remedy\Control\Default-Generic-User\

Tried just copying them back to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Control\Saves\ but they appear to be in a different format

dumb forum won't let me post a link, but yeah renaming everything fixed it

My experience is the opposite.

I couldn't save or load game progress or game settings in the last three and a half years ever since I got the game.

This 1.30 update I installed today fixed it, so now I can play the game without losing progress.
