Because you don't advertise your shit.
I absolutely agree, they should make more and bigger announcements for upcoming games.
I was going to buy it today on Steam and luckily checked my E-Mails first...

I was going to do the same but then, during work, I received a GOG email! Now, waiting two weeks while Steam users are playing it and trying to spoil it for me...I waited a year for this, two weeks will be nothing in comparison.
Who do you mean GOG or Remedy?

Probably GOG. This was quietly put onto their "upcoming" tab whereas Steam put it on their front page.
Well, can only hope it will be on Gog Connect. But I doubt it. Even GoG is very quiet on announcing GoG connect availability for games, its downright annoying.
The day it came out on steam, if I'm not mistaken, there was already a news post it would be coming to GOG. Was it widely publicized? No, it wasn't. But there was news available it was coming here.

Not to sound like a dick, but blaming GOG for not advertising is like beating a horse when it's down. They just do not advertise much of anything beyond their in house titles from CDPR.

It's like picking on the one armed man at the bar. Sure you can do it, and you might even feel good for a little bit, but you know it's wrong.

They just don't work that way, and that's part of the reason they're so far behind Steam and EGS.
that's why before purchasing any game I check gog if it's available or there are some news about a possible release. to be fair, many publishers dont want their game to be drm free....because pIrAcY aNd StUfF
GOG has been advertising Control weeks before its release here, but I guess you just haven't been paying attention.
