Recently purchased this game, and have been having graphics and sound issues.

I am running Windows 7. To begin with, when I first started the game up the screen was blank except for a menu button in the upper left hand of the screen. If I moved my mouse around it would reveal the rest of the game screen, like I was wiping away smudge with the mouse or something.

After restarting twice, this problem appears to have disappeared on its own.

However, now I have stuttering audio on the campaign map. In battles, the sound is fine. On the main map, the audio cuts in and out on a regular basis. It's like one second of sound followed by a second of nothing, then sound and so on.

I edited the dosconfig file as suggested in the troubleshooting guide on GOG. I changed the buffer (?) value form 10 to 100. Made no impact at all.

EDIT: Solved problem by changing graphics interface from 3D to Open GL.
