Where can I download patches/updates for the "GOG" version (not Steam)?

I too came to look for what is going on with updates as so many reviews in the store page complain about the game being left behind the steam version.
BUT, since I have the game on GOG AND Steam, I doubled checked and it looks like they are the same exact version. Both last updated in 2018 adding two US ships, a few USSR subs, skirmish option, etc.
So it looks like there is no issue with the GOG version that I am aware of.

The "mission editor" isn't here on GOG though
