All is freezing but still hear battle sound. I use windows 8

I have / had the same problem, and went through a lot of troubleshooting with support.

We're not quite done yet, but we've discovered that it is the sound that's causing my specific problem. I tried playing without any sounds, and it's now playable.

I still hope a full solution can be found, though
