I just installed the game, and when I attempt to open the program I get the EA ad - fullscreen - then I'm sent back to my desktop with an 'Undying' title splash right in the middle. Nonselectable, doesn't prevent me from opening anything else. The game never actually starts after this, although task manager indicates that it's running and using memory for SOMETHING. How do I solve this?

Few things you can try:
1. reinstall the game (don't forget to restart your PC). Also, it's better to not istall in Program files folder, a dedicated folder for GOG games would be better.
2. install this - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
3. make sure you have the latest GPU drivers installed

Try "messing" with (I presume this game has) the nGlide or Graphic Setup, perhaps changing the renderer. And of course you can contact Support.
I don't know if your game already works.
But you could also try the compatibility modes. And run the game as administrator.
Otherwise it's always helpful if you post your specs.
I disabled the EA intro movie.

But the game itself will not start. I get a "Critical Error" pop-up box:

"General protection fault!

History: gtxDetectOutput < - UGalaxyAudioSubsystem::SetViewport < - UGameEngine::Init , - InitEngine"

The game will run in degug mode with sound disabled.
GOG version of Undying won't work.
I've got old legal CD version of the game bought 15 years ago.

It is still working, even on Windows 10 x64 without ANY problem.

Try going into System.ini in the System folder and changing Use3dHardware under [Galaxy.GalaxyAudioSubsystem].

Go into the folders: GOG Galaxy, Games, Clive Barkers Undying. When there right click "Launch Clive Barker's Undying. Go to the "Compatibility" tab. Check "Run this program as an administrator" Then simply double click that same file to run your game. For whatever reason the game itself wont run through GOG Galaxy. I get "General Protection fault! / History" error also if I attempt to run it through Galaxy. Just make a shortcut on your taskbar/desktop of the Undying Luancher and you're good to go.

Footnote: I am running WIndows 10 Pro 64bit with an 8700k and a 1080ti. Full specs here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/YvbXsY With all that know that I cannot run this game in 1600X1200. It always reverts back. But everything else works flawlessly.

Thank you!!! My game suddenly stopped working the other day and this is the only thing that helped me start it.
