Hi everyone,

I have a very strange problem running Undying. After the intro animation and the 3DFX splash screen, when I should see the main menu I only see 6 giant brownish pixels in two rows and a smaller one, which is apparently the mouse cursor. Obviously this release uses nglide to emulate a 3DFX card, so I checked the nglide settings and tried out different things like changing the resolution, refresh rate and so on, but to no avail. Other games on this machine run very well using nglide (NFS2 SE for example), so I'm wondering where the problems originate from.

Has anyone ever experienced similar issues and could maybe help me out?

Thanks! :)

edit: Starting the game in safe mode and then choosing direct3D instead of glide the game runs fine. I still wonder what's the problem with nglide in this case...

edit2: I seem to have a tendency of answering my own questions, but maybe it will help somebody out:

The problem was the installed IZ3D driver, which I used to get 3D Vision working with System Shock 2 and Thief (both games truly ROCK in Stereo3D by the way). I didn't help to just deactivate the IZ3D driver, I had to uninstall it and now everything is looking fine using nglide.
