It just won't start. There's not even a task for it in the Task Manager.

I've tried different compatability settings, starting as admin, deactivated and reactivated desktop design and visual designs...
Scaling at high DPI ist by default deactivated and greyed out.

I installed the game without Galaxy at first, after several unsuccessful start attempts, I de-installed, and re-installed it with Galaxy. No change either.

I don't know what else to try.

The support has not answered me since I made my problems known Wedneday evening.

Any tips, tricks or clues ar appreciated. Thanks!

What works for me (Win 7 - 64Bit):
1. Go to the folder where the game is installed (for ex: g:\gog\Children of the Nile\)
2. Right click the game executable "CotN.exe"
3. Select "properties"
4. Change the tab to "compability"
5. Check "Run program in compability mode"
6. Change to "Windows XP (Serivce Pack 3)"
7. Click "OK"
8. Start the game directly "CotN.exe" (or make a link to desktop etc.)
