did a fresh install of CotN, but the game won't launch. Instead i get an error windows saying the CotN won't work anymore. Already tried some compatibility settings, but none worked. Anyone does know how to solve this issue?

Regarding the compatbility settings did you try disable visual themes, desktop composition and high DPI settings or only a specific OS?

I don't have windows 8 so I can't test it but I've read that these settings sometimes help for older games.

thanks for the tip. After deactivating the high DPI scaling option the game works fine.
