Dead Mage announced new free update for CoM that will add reworked endless mode. Also there are no plans for paid story DLC anymore as apparently it was somehow merged into this new update.

I must say the devs deciding to do this is actually a very good thing (even though I'm sure besids my self and others would glay pay for the dlc) its a signthat hopefully are not greedy .. as while they might just be doing this for pr reasons(I'm cyncal after so many devs on games have done similat to garner good pr before doing a massive jerk move so I am doubtful this was fully them doing it to be nice or the like) But if this is honestly them happy and joyful over everything and merging things together for they mesh well aswell.. then I am extremely happy bout this and glad they are happy too

My guess is they decided focus on next title and finish CoM development asap.

Wait what? They got a new game planned or you assuming they got a new one planned?

Tale of Ronin is known next game, I don't know in how advanced state this is as there is not much info. Possibly other unrevealed projects too, maybe even CoM 2.

Oh was unaware ..well that explans this update then in a way as it could be a easier way to get things finished up thus faster and good pr and they might also truly be happy boudt this games success tpp

I feel this announcment is related to the recent sale on GoG, where you got the game if you spent 25 $ during the promotional period.

My feeling is, the game did not sold as well they hoped, so they scrapped the remains and to save face release the planned paid DLC free instead and move on.
