does anyone maybe know if it's possible to play the multiplayer together with people in steam?

Hey , I would like to know this too. My bro already has the steam version and i want to be able to play with him.

The game only supports local coop at the moment.

You can however play this game using the "remote play together" feature on steam. (Both players need steam, but only one needs to have the game in their library)

bumping this up. I would also like to know if GOG owners will be able to play with Steam owners in the future.

Same situation here. Now that the online co-op mode has its premiere on Steam, it would be great if it allowed crossplay.
