Just as a heads up: Chessmaster 9000 works perfectly on a netbook (tested it on Asus 1000he, but it should work on any version). If you are into a game of chess during quiet moments, look no further, this is the one!
Second this, it works like a charm on my AspireOne!
The interface is a shade too dated but it still is easy to use and I was still swearing at the damn Chessmaster game after game!

Having the Stephen Hawking voice remark on exactly when you threw away the game is pretty demoralizing, I admit. You can spend over an hour just unraveling the logic behind all of its hypothetical continuations of the game it envisions for you in retrospect at each step.
