Has anyone managed get the online play working? I've tried with direct TCP/IP (opening various ports in the firewalls) and even Hamachi, but nothing seems to work. The joining computer just freezes at the join screen and nothing happens on either side. The "Play on ubi.com" option seems to require installation of another application from the game CD and I don't know if the GOG.com version supports this.

I so want to play chess online. Someone out there with a good link of Chess online?

If you want real-time online play, FICS is your best bet.

If you like slower, non real-time play (that is, similar to correspondence chess) then Gameknot is one of the best.
