Edward_Carnby: Hello , Judas.

I tried to run game on win8 "just in case". :)

This problem is on win7 too.

JudasIscariot: I hear you :D.

Please do send in a support ticket with your Windows 7 configuration info as that will help us out a lot. Thanks :D.
I have only win8 notebook at home. But at work I have exactly the same notebook & desktop PC with win7.

I send my win8 dxdiag (just in case) to support, tomorrow I try to run game on desktop PC & let u know about result.

For now - goodnight & thanks for all the fish. :)

PS: If it helps ya .

- 8 gb Ram
- nVidia GeForce GT 645m

Potzato , my friend, I let u know if we (me & gog) solve the problem.

It would be best to send in the Windows 7 result to Support because having me pass any sort of info on is like using pigeons for internet: not very efficient :P Plus, the DxDiag you send in from your Winodws 7 machine will be very helpful so keep that in mind :D.

Good luck to you, mate ! That game is worth the hassle.
Damn, mine's even worse, when i launch the game all i see is what you can see on the screenshot and a neat oldschool hourglass mouse icon.

[edit]
Though this is probably a completely different bug since i can't even do anything.

Arteveld: snip
I had an antivirus interrupt at my first launch, it could fit your symptoms.

Edward_Carnby: I have different glitch . :(

Screenshots in attach.

Tried win7 & win8. All x64.

Anyone can help ?
Mhm. I am just trying to get it to work on Linux via. Wine - same problem. Looking around the web the problem (at least for wine!) with these blank boxes is linked to the game _requiring_ proper 16bit support (256 colours) to run. Can't help with the Windows side, but might / could / should be a similar problem?

I'm pretty sure it's not my av [MSE], i checked anyway, adding the game dir to the exclude list, didn't help.
I'm guessing the game hates my x64 nvidia driver as much as i do.;P

[edit]
Just watched a gameplay on YT, apparently my problem is wiith the intro not running properly, so it's most probably a codec issue.

[edit2]

Found the registry entries for the game, apparently launching in windowed did the trick. The game does screw up the explorer though. If anyone is interested, the key is [for win7x64 at least] : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stick Man Games\Chaos Overlords\1.0, change the value of prefsFullScreen to 0.
