This has been clarified in the Steam forums, but I thought this discussion should be held here as well.

At its current state, the game does not load games from Old North, which is odd since this is supposed to be a Saga.

I'm hopeful for a fix!

Yeah, I'm a Kickstarter backer but I haven't tried to play it yet because I was waiting for a fix. From what I can tell the last update on Steam was on May 28th and there hasn't been any word from the developer since.

Looking through the patch notes on May 13th update it says
- Add choices from Old North at prepare scene

Not sure what that means though (e.g., do you have the opportunity to manually pick choices you made in Old North at some point?)

Hi daveyd,

Yes the "Add choices from Old North at prepare scene" update let you choose manually the decision that you made in Old North. At the meantime we can only provide the choice feature as we faced difficulties on reading the Old North save data. But no worries, we are currently planning on how to improve your experience while exploring Realms Beyond. It might not come out soon since we are still on planning phase.
