I've tried searching the location of the game's save file. By all indications it should be at My Documents/My Games/Cave Story+ (Galaxy)/ which is a folder that exists on my computer. However, the folder is empty, and I do have it set to display hidden files. Even renaming the folder and then running the game provides no trouble for it locating the saves, wherever those are stored.
