I don't get it... It's not a multiplayer game. It's supposedly drm-free. NEVER had any trouble playing Carrion in the past: I've already clocked 5 hours of gameplay. But last night and tonight, the game will not launch because it says it wants to sign in to GOG Galaxy (even though I used the Galaxy client to launch the game!). Carrion remains in the "sign in" loop and won't let me play!

(see attached screenshot)

Anyone else experience this? I tried everything. I launched Carrion via the Galaxy Client: same screenshot message. Then, I decided to quit the Galaxy Client and tried running the game with it's executable file directly from the install folder: still the same message. I tried with my internet connection on and off: same failed attempt.

I feel a bit let down. Been enjoying this game up to last night. I thought GOG games were drm-free? So why can't I play single-player Carrion online/offline?

Edit: Like an idiot, I should have tagged this post as a question/answer topic. Found no setting to change this. So, just wanted to say that the solution proposed in post #3 has worked for me!

In the game folder, there are two files: GalaxyNative64.dll and Galaxy64.dll. Close the game (if it's opened), delete them (or put them somewhere else if something didn't work, so that you don't have to reinstall the game) and start the game again. It should work now

I created a 7z archive in the game folder to backup the two dll's and then deleted the originals. Worked like a charm! Thx for your help! :D

Worked!! thx!!!
I had trouble a few times and nothing worked. Even after uninstalling every thing. Saw this and decided to try it and reinstalled and it worked all by itself. But There some times an issue with signing in to their server. But it works now. There are 2 options, basic game and one with the DLC. The DLC version works OK now. Back up save file works too. Hope this helps some one.
