It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

It doesn't seem to be an issue in the Splat Pack, but in the primary game, the cutscenes (everything from the opening title cards to pre-race) just stop. And they do so randomly (i.e. will play a little longer or shorter than they did the previous time).

Are you using the Win 95 patch or running through DosBox? It happens either way for me. I tinkered with various DosBox settings but couldn't affect anything.

I think it's just a 'rough patch' in the compatibility of the game with newer systems. Perhaps on older systems loading for the menus or game began while the video was playing, and since that took longer there was no early interruption. But on newer systems game components load more quickly, so the game skips ahead from the video when loading is complete.

I'm not sure if there is a "fix", but as long as the game itself is running well and not crashing I suppose it's something we just live with!

I've not noticed that on my machine at all. I'm using DOSBox and I've tweaked the install to use nGlide 1.00 (not 0.99 as GOG currently provide - hopefully they'll update to nGlide 1.00 when they release the version 2.0 installer for Carmageddon).

Anyway, how have you got your DOSBox conf file set up?
My version of nGlide says 1.01. Is this a problem?

Ooh, a new version. I wonder when 1.01 came out?
