carmageddon has an extremely low fps (3 per second) in all modes. i cant even start carma95. it just crashes.

the weird thing is that can play carmageddon 2 and 3 perfectly. help?

I'm getting the same problem
and my computer have 2.0 ghz amd processor and 256 mbof graphics memory and 2 gb of ram
it worked really smoothly into my win98 computer back in the 90' !!!!

AFAIK, Carmageddon is running in DOSBox so you might want to tweak the cycles or switch the renderer to OpenGL.

I remember having the same problem with the default settings (3DFX was it?). Just try different renderers, eventually you will find one that works for your computer. Software renderer will definitely work, and I think the game look the most charming with it but that might just be nostalgia influencing my idea of what the game "should" look like.
