I'm personally using the "basic" dosbox version from GOG.
In short, I installed the game, and choose to launch it through dosbox, nothing more. And I have a similar issue. But I found a solution :)

1) In the folder "C:\GOG Games\Carmageddon", open the file "dosboxCARMA_single.conf".
2) At the line 48, there should be this written : "voodo2c.exe -novoodoo". Replace it by "carma.exe".
3) Save the file
4) Launch Carmageddon through the regular GOG's shortcut (as usual).
5) It should asks for a password for the uncut version, password is "gog" (without quotes).

Hope this helps :) (and I should send this to the support team, I never got the time XD).
Edit : I finally sent a support ticket to explain my solution, just in case some others GOGers encounter it too.
Edit2 : I'm really not sure all of that will help you, I just realized that with win95 restoration project you certainly aren't using the basic dosbox launch method :P Still I hope it could help you in a way.
At least, if some people are playing the basic dosbox version like me and encounter the same issue, they'll be able to try my solution :) I hope you'll find one for your issue ;)

I think that bug occurs because of Nglide 2.0, if i revert to 1.05 version - all works fine, strange.

Ah, so I was totally far from your issue XD Sorry for not being able to help you more :P
Can't it be a configuration/new option in Nglide 2 who mess a bit things ?

There are no new options besides Directx/Vulkan renderer (i tried both)

Ah XD Sorry for not being of better help ^^"
Just copy-pasting what I wrote on nGlide forums:

Well, this is normal beheaviour for Carmageddon in Glide mode. Not all cars have "reflective" windshield, and while they display a gradient in software mode (both DOS and CARM95), they just look like an average color of that gradient in Glide mode. AFAIK that's one of the limitations of the Glide Carma executables.

(both nGlide 1.02 (ships with the GOG release) and nGlide 1.05 look the same as well)
Oops, you already answered there, thanks again =)
the only problem is that even if I run the game in dosbox software hires mode , Diana is still completely missing the windshield texture. Not Max, just Diana.
