Hi all

I just bought carmageddon max damage. When I start it, the splash logo appears and then nothing..
The task is running in taskmanager but nothing else happens. I have to kill the task to get the splash logo disappear.
Whe I kill the task, screen gets black for 1/2 second.

Game has a bit longer start-up than usual video-games, it should show first that red guy in circle then disapear and open fullscreen game which you said it's gonna be black at first, your computer may not like it due outdated drivers perhaps or just wait a bit longer.

If any of that didn't help then try to run it as adminstrator or check anti-virus/firewall (might be blocking it)... Windows Update/ NVidia/ AMD Radeon Grahpics Drivers, try everything.

LOL....a fresh WIndows restart did the trick...I tried several times to start it, killed processes I was sure were related to carmageddon...but as I said...restart windows and carmageddon started just fine.

I had to physically select the game window from the taskbar or it would just show the splash screen indefinitely, never going to the game window by itself.
However, I haven't restarted Windows yet either, so maybe I should try that, lol.

Now, to solve the stuttering issue...

I had to do the same thing it works though.

I do an alt-tab to open an actual game window. Somehow it doesn't switch automatically for me.
