I just completed this gem.
My build was Caravan Master, 2 Mercenaries, 1 Scout, 1 Merchant;

I levelled all to 9-10. I can't imagine how much longer it would take to unlock lvl 12 skills because of the money it would take. I didn't realize how important the Merchant would be in the end and had to raise more funds to lvl him.

Any questions ask, the mechanics have a learning curve because the in-game tutorial is very basic and no manual provided. For the longest time I didn't realize you could scroll the city screen to access services.

So much fun though.

You're a power-gamer, I see. Just the fact that you talk about "builds" betrays you.

Absolutely.
Not sure why you suggest I reveal something I wouldn't embrace.

Power gamers learn all the rules and details in order to be most successful and find joy in that goal.
That doesn't mean we don't roleplay as well, it just means that fluff is secondary.
And that doesn't mean we cheat or exploit which I despise.

Munchkins cheat. Most modders are Munchkins.

Power-gamers miss the point of role-play. A role-playing game is meant for you to pretend to be someone else, and re-act as they would, not play only the "build" that is most advantageous.

I agree about the modders. See!! Even a power-gamer and old-timer Role-Player can agree on something.
