I was able to play this game on buying it a while ago, but now, everytime I try to play a game (I open up the campaign game), it gives me the error above (with a bit more on the end - I can't screengrab the message), with an OK button which closes the game down.

Even worse, on closing the game, either through this error, or by the main menu, It has a 75% chance of crashing on shutdown, locking me out of my computer (I am unable to CTRL+ALT+DEL, ALT+TAB or "Windows" out to desktop), forcing me to hard power off my computer.

Additionally (hardly a problem since I can't run the game anyway), I try to run the game in 800x600 through the shortcut's properties, but it's always ignored, forcing me to alter my screen resolution just to play this game, which is fecking annoying since it requires me to rearrange my desktop icons and gadgets after I finish playing, where I would naturally switch back to a wider ratio.

Is there a solution to these problems? Thanks in advance.

When I try to download the rar, it fails on completion. And I'm having trouble even visiting the forum you linked to now (It says the connection has been reset).

But I found out I had to delete a CONFIG.dat file to allow me to continue to play the campaigns. Unfortunately, my computer is still randomly crashing when I try to close the game. Is this a known issue, because I can handle having to constantly change my resolution and delete that config file, but I can't handle having to manually power off my computer almost every time I finish playing (and it subsequeently crashes).
