Does anyone know how to solve the problem where the game wont save? I go up to the eye, get a save menu, but just get an "empty" message everytime I try to save. Forums elsewhere seem to suggest it something to do with clock settings??
Looks like the old solution was you need to change the windows time settings to 24 hour clock without any am/pm.
Your save file should then look like this:The Air-Filled Tunnels 17-04-2006 17.00.24
Instead of this:Prologue 18-04-2006 11.11.40 p.m

I'm having the same issue, but my Windows clock was already set to 24 hour time. Does anyone know any other fixes?

What do your save game file names look like?

There are none. Every time I try to save the game, it shows no saved games, and every time I quit and choose "continue", it just starts over at the beginning.

From what I remember it does actually save the game in C:\Users\{username}\Documents\Bethesda\Call of Cthulhu\ but because of the date format not being what is expected it doesn't see the game that it saved to load back in.

I finally figured out what was the problem. After I pressed the use key on the symbol, I hit <enter> to try to save the game, which just brought me out of the screen, like as if I'd hit the escape key. Left clicking on the line that said <empty> successfully saved my game, which now shows up when I try to save or load.

Thanks! You are a real saviour. I was searching all internet for the fix for two days, and it's actually was just hitting the enter button.
I've tried just about every solution offered, and I'm still having this problem. I played through it all the way once, and had little to no issues. Then, in the middle of my second playthrough, the save points suddenly just stopped working.
