No posts from anyone other than myself or mentalmitra who is having a technical problem. Nor from developers or gog staff. It almost feels like i'm in the wrong place for discussing this game on gog.

Normally the discussion forums have some locked posts with information or technical advice from either the devloper or gog staff. But here, had it not been for mentalmitras post, there would have been nothing at all, and forgive me if i'm wrong but i was under the impression this game came to gog a few months ago.

I do think there should be a post from the developer/publisher, at least telling people to be wary when installing as by default it installs to the same directory of the bethesda game Call of Cthulhu game which is also on gog, Dark Corners of the Earth. And proceeds to load the older game instead of this one, when launching from this games icon in galaxy.

I don't own the game yet but you should probably send a support ticket to gog so that they can fix where the game installs.
Good idea, i just sent them the message. Shame i can't edit the title of a thread on gog as the forum for this game is not quite so 'dead' anymore! :)

This is were you are wrong. The game was released with the ongoing Halloween Sale.

Ah, that explains it then!
Why does the store page say Oct 2018?

Also, most forums here are dead besides technical problems or specific questions to progress. Kind of unfortunate when people seem to have a strong desire for DRM-free gaming, but no sense of community on the platform.

Guaranteed the Steam forums are bustling with activity, for better or worse.
I don't see why... I like the game quite a bit.
No crashes, no bugs so far. Quite an interesting detective mystery game, with scary bits.
The Achievements in Galaxy seem a bit messed up, saying "100%" after only playing for a while.
And the playtime currently says around 14 hours which is impossible since I've only spent a third of a sunday with it :)
But an excellent game in my opinion.

It says that cause that was the game's original release... not the gog release date.
So was it only released on GOG in the last month? (as said above) I could see the lack of posts if no one has issues with it running or anything in that case.
Here it is 2022, and still very little participation.
