First time GOGer here, just installed C3 (because I'm just crazy about the game) on an Alienware Win8.1 laptop, with 1366x768 screen resolution.

Needless to say, I'd like to see the game rendered in the proper aspect ration, and not stretched across the screen. Also, I would like to run it in windowed mode, and I can't seem to get it to do so.

Windowed Mode requires you to change the colour depth from 32-bit to 16-bit and even then, that isn't much of a solution. You can solve the aspect ratio problem by changing your graphics driver settings not to automatically scale non-16:9 resolutions to fit your monitor, it is different based on you graphics card though.

Google Caesar 3 HD, people make exes that are appropriate for your resolution (although it seems 1366X768 won't work). After running the game with the new exe, set the highest resolution ingame.
