Hi all, I'm running a Win 7 64-bit on an Asus U35JC Laptop. It has a Nvidia 310M and an Intel HD graphic card, I think they are integrated somehow.

Anyway, installation is fine and all, but when I try to run the game it tends to hang at the Sierra logo. The furthest I've gotten is a black screen when sound playing in the background. I tried various settings randomly, but no dice. The only time it actually managed to run was when I had to boot my com in safe mode. Managed to create a game and play, but no sound.

So maybe even if I can't run it normally I'd like to be able to run the game in safe mode and play or something. I've asked to support staff at GoG but they're terribly slow in replies. Help would be greatly appreciated!

So I have a Win7-32 bit OS and the game runs alright, but I have had similar issues oddly enough with my Wine version when trying to play at the game's highest resolution - I think it has something to do with resolution switching. Though then I don't think I even got the logo ...

Have you tried the usual? Running the game as administrator and/or fiddling with compatibility mode? Given the problem I had with the game in Wine you can also try setting your screen's resolution to 640x480 before you even start the game and see if that works.

Did you hear back from support? Did any of the suggestions in my previous post work? Best of luck!
I'm having a very similar problem. It'll run the loading cutscene without the video, but get through the sound completely, and then just stop.
Have you tried widescreen patch ?
Also this game is using bink video for intros as i remember. You can try to install bink video codecs.
