The game just pumps out the same stupid error & locks me out of the game, just before a cinematic...

After hitting ctrl+alt+del for the 50th time... I got frustrated. If I close the error, the game resumes it's cinematic almost normally, as in: all appears as is should except for the Lars character, in the beginning. I can only see his sword most of the time, he's f***ing invisible :)))

I'm playing this on Win 7 with an X360 controller. + Decent PC: I7 Nvidia graphics card - updated drivers

What does the error say?

The game doesn't like any kind of under- or overclocking, especially when it comes to the graphic card. If you've anything set or installed to boosts or reduces performance, disable it.

Try running the game as administrator (right-click the game's shortcut => Run as..) and see if it makes a difference.

Solved it. On the compatibility tab, the "Disable display scaling on high DPI setting" was marked. I unmarked it & voilla !
