I've a problem with the manual, adobe reader 9 can't open it and gives me "An error exists on this page..." error msg. I've redownloaded it but it is the same. What could be the problem?
Mine is the same!
Try a different PDF reader maybe? Adobe's one has been getting dodgier and slower as tthe version numbers go up so I've dumped it entirely. I've been using Foxit reader, it's as good as adobe used to be

AR 9 is actually quiet fast in my opinion, but thx anyway. I sure can wait till next week. :-)
Just downloaded the game + manual and I'm having the same problem. I get an error message when I open the pdf and once open, it doesn't contain any text.
Looking forward to the fix!

I am having the same problem, will have to try a different reader.
I am wondering if zipping the pdf is causing a problem. FYI GOG, PDF'S ARE ALREADY COMPRESSED, THEY DON'T NEED TOO BE ZIPPED
I found a working manual over at replacementdocs. It's where GoG gets most of its manuals from anyway so I don't see the problem with linking there.

Hi there
We've just updated Broken Sword 2 installation. Here is small changelog for you:
- cutscenes now are in DXA format
- you can toggle subtitles in options menu in game
- corrected manual, that right now doesn't report error in Adobe Reader 9
- now Broken Sword game saves are located in game directory instead of ScummVM
Best

Just in case you don't know about it, Broken Sword 3 manual isn't working either. No big deal. I just wanna let you know...
Oh, and thanks for BS 2 update.
Cheers

While the manual included within the installer works just fine, the one available as an additional download for BS2 is still the old broken one. While for me it's just a minor inconvenience, some might not realise the location of the "right" manual.
Thanks in advance!
