The game played fine until George and Nico were trying to avoid Navet by getting out through the flower shop.
As soon as the inventory screen came up when George was going to question Adam, a small blue circle appeared and the game crashed.
After it happened the first time, I downloaded the patch from GOG but it had no effect on this.
The game continues to crash in exactly the same place.
I did try rebooting. Nada.
Has anyone had this happen and, if so, did you find a solution?

If it makes any difference, I'm using Win 7 Pro, 64 bit.

Someone on the Revolution forum came up with an answer. Use the Classic UI and speech settings found under Visual Settings in Options and the game won't crash. I tried it, it works.

Try to give Adam the coin directly from your inventory without speaking him :)
We are currently fixing this bug and expect it to be remedied in an update coming soon.

In the meantime, as irondog said, a temporary fix for this is to switch your UI and Speech to Classic Mode under the Visual Settings in the Options menu, which should get you past this scene.

We'll make an announcement when the update goes live.

Just so you know, I also tried Snake's fix while I was using the modern UI and Classic Speech. Giving the coin to Adam directly from inventory without speaking to him worked, too.
