Hello!

Had a search through these here forums and couldn't see if anyone else had had this issue.

Basically, the FMV sequences during the game are finishing early. It doesn't seem to happen consistently, but it happened in the scene where they look at the manuscript for the first time, on arrival at the Villa de Vasconcellos (sp?) and at the end of the Lochmarne sequence.

Any fix for this, or any idea what's causing it?

Hi! I think I have this problem too. I didn't realize it at first until reading this though. All I know is during the playable scheme after Lochmarne they kept referring to some 'hanging man' and gibbets, as if I was supposed to have seen something. I think the movie must have cut off early like you said!

I wouldn't worry about it... I just finished the game and experienced the same thing a couple of times. I don't think the videos are cut off, they just finish very abruptly.

I noticed this in BS 2 RE too. I even checked the video file and it was longer then shown in game.

I know this is an old thread, but I have this problem too. Playing on Win7 x64. It does it every time, I have tried reloading and retrying, but it keeps cutting off at the same point in the video. Anyone got an answer?

I have noticed this too, it happens on every system i have tried BS1DC on at certain FMV's (i have tested on XP, Vista and Ubuntu) so i think it must be a problem with the movies since if you re-encode the movies it doesn't seem to happen (well re-encoding the videos fixed the problem for me at-least)

Re-encoding the videos? Do they still work in the game after re-encoding? If so, could you maybe teach a newbie how to do that? :-)
