Hi, I'm having a problem with the audio in Broken Sword 3. The music and background noises are there, but there's no dialogue audio. No voices. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out after a heap of fiddling.

Hi. As you can see, it's been quite a long time since I had this problem, and for the life of me, I can't remember what I did to fix it! I only vaguely remember even having the problem now. Really sorry I can't be any help. Maybe try emailing gog support? Or try fiddling with your PC's audio settings? Hope you get it working!

Try this:
Open up the Control panel, select Sounds and Audio Devices, then select the audio tab. Where it says “sound playback” click advanced, then in the “Speaker Setup” field choose “5.1 surround speakers”.

This works for BS4 also! Thanks for the old thread.

Edit: This actually didn't work for me after all. I keep having an issue with the voices working for the first few minutes of gameplay and then disappearing all together.

I have the same issue. But what is worse, I have Win10 installed, and I do not even have 5.1 speakers in the speaker setup to select. :( Haven't figured out how fix this.

Set windows audio to Stereo and ensure it's set as default.
