Finally a version that works. Being a great fan of the first two games, I bought this game when it first released. I never got it to work in either XP or Vista. Then I bought the game again during a sale on steam, together with BS1 and 2 remake, whom I originally played as part of a German adventurepack. That version didn't work either. Now we all know the remake of 1 and 2 is a piece of &^%*, so when I learned that GOG includes the original version I tried my luck again and bougth Broken Sword 1 through 4 during this years summersale and guess what, IT WORKS! After all these years I can finally continue playing the franchise.

This post is meant as a heartfelt thank you to GOG. We let you know when things don't work the way we expect it, so I think I should do the same now the opposite has happened while I feared for the worst (well, nothing that dramatic). Thanks again, and keep up the good work (and please give us a Discworld Noir that will work on a modern OS).
I second this feeling (fortunately not regarding the Broken Sword series, though) and the need to have Discworld Noir available here.

[EDIT] added the GOG Community Wishlist link for Discworld Noir
