Hi, I'm starting my journey on all BOF games since I've never played any of them and wanted to know, is the GOG version a "lesser" version than the "Uncensored + Dengeki Store Restoration (Hack) for PS1"? Or is the GOG version a good one for 1st playthrough?

the ps1 version is uncensored (english and japanse)
the gog version japanse is uncensored
but not the english version right ?

Actually BOF IV was censored; one particular scene that one of the villains gets beheaded, but was changed to a fade out.

There is a few other scenes as well I cannot remember at the moment.
